DAY 1: Spend your first day exploring the bride, groom and their family. Create variations of contemporary bridal bouquets, combined with delicate boutonnieres and not forgetting the corsage.
DAY 2: Spend the day setting the scene, here will cover all manner of table decorations. Explore ways to be creative and be inspired by nature and the limitless possibilities it provides. Challenge your thinking and watch your talents blossom.
DAY 3: Spend the morning visiting the Sydney Flower Markets. Go on a guided tour with the experts! Return to your creative workroom and think grandscale, arrangements for foyers, churches and the stage! Play with the finishing touches by creating variations of pew ends.
DAY 4: Spend the day planning an event. Learn all you need to know about the logistics and set up of that special celebration. Tricks of the trade will be revealed giving you the confidence you need to feel like a professional. Continue exploring decorative techniques with a twist on a must know designs.
DAY 5: The day of the event! As a class you will execute the event. From Bouquets, pew ends to the Church and Venue all will be recreated. Be amazed at the visual delights created by you and your team of florists.
Think Like a Florist
DAY 1:Learn flower philosophy from flower names to day to day care and handling of your blooms. We will show you how to merchandise your flowers creating more impact in your display. Finish your day by creating a beautiful posy and begin learning various wrapping techniques.
DAY 2:Spend the day learning variations in bouquet building. Learn about the Sydney flower Markets and prepare for our visit.
DAY 3:Visit the Sydney Wholesalers Flower Market and meet the growers. Spend the morning being inspired by our German Master florist and working as a group you will recreate one of the designs. Spend the afternoon exploring the fundamental techniques of ‘base medium’ arrangements and create up-to-date designs. Early start so finish a little earlier on this day.
DAY 4:Continue exploring options with bouquets and learn how to think ‘outside the square’. Look at more variations of contemporary table centrepieces and learn the classic ‘Box’ Design and adaptations.
DAY 5:Spend the day working with vases and explore how to master various shapes and sizes. Learn valuable florist ‘tricks’ that will help you to know how to create that instant ‘WOW’ factor with your vase.
