Enrichment Evening - June 11, 2009
Pearsons School of Floristry hosted their annual Enrichment Evening specially designed for Module 4 Commercial Course students. We had a panel of industry speakers as well as past students who have started their own floristry businesses since graduating from Pearsons Commercial Course. It was a great forum for students to ask questions and gain more knowledge for what to expect after finishing their courses.
We also had a guest demonstrator Helmut Schuster - Master Florist from Germany who inspired all the florists for the evening with his incredible creations!
Register for Helmut's Professional One Day workshop on June 28, 2009 to learn new floral techniques! For more information, contact the school on 9550 7755.

Royal Easter Show Competition
Congratulations to our very own Emma Fernandez (trainer at Pearsons School of Floristry and florist) for winning First Prize at the Royal Easter show for Certificate 4 floristry students last Sunday 19th April 2009.
The competition brief was to design a fully wired bouquet of fresh flowers to be carried by a bride, as well as an elaborate arrangement to complement the bouquet for a fairy tale wedding.
Check out Emma's award-winning creations below inspired by the fairy tale Rapunzel. For the bouquet, Emma created a frame made out of dogwood branches embellished with fresh wired flowers of dendrobium orchids, calla lilies, hydrangea, liriope, xanadu foliage and pink peppercorns.
To complement this striking bouquet, her arrangement comprised of the same materials creating these two stunning award winning floral pieces!
Well done Emma!
